Not having to worry about parking in the city is a major bonus. And when you're staying with us, you can chill out knowing that your ride is safe from the city's parking enforcement officers, in our parking lot!

The cost for a spot in our parking lot is $10 per day, and it's only available to Ocean Island guests. Ask the front desk staff about a parking spot when you arrive. There is no way to reserve a parking spot in advance. If we don't have any space for you, we can recommend other spots to park around the city, to save you from getting ticketed. We can also sell you parking in the Robbins Parking lot across the street from us at a rate of $10 per day. Otherwise see below for more options:
There are many other places to park in Victoria. Here are some suggestions:
Central Baptist Church Parkade
Located half a block away, at 833 Pandora Ave, this is an underground, security patrolled parking lot.
If you have to leave anything valuable in your car we recommend parking here.* It’s $8/day (6 am-6.30pm) or $1.50/ hour. It’s $1.50 forovernight parking (6.30pm -6am). Please note this parkade is locked at 6:30pm and you will not be able to access your car until 6am the next day. The parkade is reserved for church members Saturday and Sunday.
The City of Victoria Parkades
There are fi ve parkades downtown:
•Bastion Square Parkade - 500 Block of Yates St.
•Broughton St Parkade - 700 Block of Broughton St.
•Centennial Parkade - 600 Block of Fisgard St.
•Johnson St Parkade - 700 Johnson St.
•View St. Parkade - 700 Block of View St.
The nearest to Ocean Island is the Johnson St. Parkade. It’s $1 for the fi rst hour and then $1 for every half hour after that. The day rate (8am-6pm) is $12.00 . Evening/Overnight parking is $2.00 (6pm-8am). Parking is free on Sundays and Statutory Holidays.
Street Parking and Free Parking
Parking is free at all metered parking spaces on the streets from 6pm-9am, Monday-Saturday, and all
day Sundays and Stat. Holidays. Otherwise you will need to feed the meter 25 cents fo every 10
minutes. Be vigilant though; Victoria’s parking attendants are as stealthy and lethal as ninjas! There are some 1-2 hour free parking zones on the outskirts of the downtown core. Check out the area near Chinatown (north of Fisgard St. and west of Government St.) or east of Quadra St. and south of Fort St. There are also some 3 hour free parking zones in Beacon Hill Park. There are a few places near town you can park free all-day although these are usually a bit of a walk away. Check out Tyee Rd.--across the Johnson St. bridge and turn right at the fi rst major intersection; or in the area east of Cook St.

Ocean Island is not responsible for any fined, towed or damaged vehicles.
*Please don’t leave any valuables in your car.
Auto theft
Actual vehicles don't get stolen much in Victoria, but more and more people are having stuff stolen out of their cars. We recommend that you don't leave anything valuable or important in your vehicle! Store it in our secure storage facility (for free) instead. If you have to leave something in your car, put it in the trunk before you get in your car in the first place, and park the car in a well-lit spot on a busy street.
