Here at Ocean Island we care about your security. Our first line of defense in ensuring your safety and security is our 24 hour front desk. Located at the hostel's entrance, the front desk keep an eye on who is entering and leaving the hostel. Not only the front desk staff, but all Ocean Island staff keep a vigilant lookout for any security issues and respond immediately to any concerns you may have.

Our second line of defense in ensuring your safety and security while staying at Ocean Island is a combination of safety-conscious practices and a secure building. First, the front door is locked at night, after our lounge closes, this prevents the entrance of those who aren't staying at the hostel. Second, the doors leading from the lobby to the rooms are locked 24 hours per day, preventing those who are not guests from entering the hallways leading to the rooms. Third, the building's entrance, lobby and halls are monitored 24 hours by security cameras for your safety. Fourth, each room comes with a locker in which you can store your belongings. Fifth, we have bike storage and lock-up which is locked after 6pm and under the watchful eye of the front desk during the day.
