Although we have our own in-house bar, we understand that you must spread your wings and fly out into the world of night clubs, bars & pubs. That’s why we compiled this handy list, filled with our favourite nightlife spots.
We love to go out and have a great time, so that’s why we want to begin this post with our absolute favourite places to spend the evening. If you run into one of us there – don’t be afraid to say hi!
Just two blocks away, you’ll find Cenote neatly tucked away beside the theatre. A great spot for cocktails, Cenote also has the best nachos and other comfort food readily available for you.
This atmospheric place with fairy lights all over is the perfect spot to have a few drinks and also one of their delicious fusion meals. Our favourite must be the butter chicken poutine.
Located by the water, this brewpub has a great selection of food but is probably most known for brewing their own beers. A great atmosphere aided by good live music on Thursday, Friday & Saturday.
Logan’s is a good ol’ fashioned dive bar and a staple for the local alternative scene. Great bartenders and surprisingly decent pub food too! Expect punk music, stand up comedy and drag shows on their stage.
It’s an Ocean Island tradition to go out to Paparazzi on weekdays as you will have the dance floor to yourself. But coming here on the weekends is a different story: expect great dance tunes, spotlight performances and of course their main staple: Drag Sunday.
Located just off the main strip, Smiths has a great selection of beers and great food choices as well. You’ll find a classic pub downstairs, but an incredibly well-decorated lounge upstairs. It’s your choice but whatever choice you make – you’re in for a great night.

Located in the Strathcona Hotel, the Sticky Wicket is massive. There’s a bar, dance floor, dining area and a games room. Just don’t get lost while you have fun!
Located on beautiful Bastion Square, Darcy’s Pub has great live music on most nights as well as a great patio in the summer days. Soak up the sun and stay for the fun!
Located on the opposite side of Darcy’s Pub, it may come as no surprise that the Local also has a great patio for those hot summers. Cool off with a hot drink and have a bite to eat while you watch people going up and down the street.
Located near Bastion Square, this faux-Irish pub has live music nights and is always jam-packed with folks having a good time. Pro-tip: they open at 7 am and do a great breakfast deal before 9 am.
Garrick’s Head is a great place to start your night. Just grab a pint, hang out with your friends and figure out your plans for the night. And if you feel like staying – why not?
Located in British Columbia’s first Bank, this Scottish Pub is a bit pricey, but you’re paying for the atmosphere. The interior is simply gorgeous.
Are you the type that can’t sit still and just wants to dance? The dancefloor in the following clubs will welcome you with open arms.
Located on Bastion Square, Upstairs has a lot of great club nights and also host live music acts throughout the week and weekend.
Formerly Sugar Nightclub, this place is always booming and a great spot for dance events as well as live music. Check their website to see what’s on!
Part of the Strathcona Hotel, Distrikt is a dance club well known for its pumping music and events.
