I can't say enough good things about this stay! I've stayed at hostels the world over and this one takes the prize for cleanliness and thoughtfulness. I had a private queen - squeaky clean, comfortable mattress, tons of pillows, a TV, and a spotless bathroom. The staff were friendly and easygoing the whole time.

Ocean Island Inn is truly the best place for travellers in Victoria. The atmosphere is lively yet relaxed, making it easy to meet new people from around the world. Breakfast and dinner included every day, plus a drink, and the amazing 24/7 soft drinks — such a rare and thoughtful touch.

Perfect! I'm a woman travelling alone who stayed for a week. Everyone was so kind and welcoming! I felt awkward at first but the staff made me feel like I was home. Great vibes and great breakfast AND dinner! Quiet hours are enforced so you can have a good sleep. I'll be staying again!

The staff were so friendly and helpful my whole stay. The location is excellent - walking distance from the downtown core. I felt very secure with cameras and multiple locked doors. They offered dinner and breakfast which were great! 5/5 stars.

There's ample security - it takes at least 4 keys to get from the street to a locker in a room. You can rest assured you're safe here. Breakfast and dinner and a drink included is a very major perk!
