At Ocean Island Inn, we strive to use the correct pronouns for every person working or staying with us. We encourage staff to express the pronouns they use, and for everyone to respect those pronouns. Regardless of a person’s gender identity, gender can be very important to someone’s sense of self. To use language that is not inclusive to someone’s sense of self can cause the person to feel disrespected and unwelcome, which is something Ocean Island wants to avoid as this is not in accordance with our inclusive and friendly environment.
