Our Story

Since opening in 1999, we have welcomed travelers from all over the world. Our guests can choose between comfortable dorm rooms to private rooms in all shapes and sizes, some even with their own bathroom. Our lively common areas are served by an in-house bar where guests can grab a drink at a backpacker price.

Ocean Island is located in downtown Victoria, which allows guests easy access to all of the main attractions our city has to offer. On top of that, our front desk team knows all the hidden gems, great places to eat and will be glad to give you their recommendations.
